<>p>Kebabangan gas field located in the South China Sea, 130 km off the coast of Sabah, East Malaysia. It is part Kebabangan Cluster, which contains two more fields Kamunsu East and East Kamunsu Upthrown Canyon. Depth of water in clusters ranging from 100m to 400m.,

This group is owned by Nippon Oil Exploration (40%), ConocoPhillips (30%) and Shell (30%). Three co-owners signed a partnership contract for development and production group in 2007.

A joint venture called Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company (KPOC) was established to act as the operator group.

A project named Kebabangan Northern Hub project was undertaken to develop three fields in the cluster.

This project began with the development of Kebabangan and now in the detail design phase. Production is scheduled to begin in 2014.

MEDS Owned Diving Support Vessel "Altus Exertus" was mobilized from its home base in Sharjah, UAE and Moved to carry out the Subsea scope of work to remove the Pulling head and install two blind flanges on both the 120 km pipeline, with the help of MEDS Saturation Diving Team and an observation class ROV which was used to provide support services to the saturation divers in water.

The project was successfully completed within the time frame give by the client.
